Any kind is fine -- Italian, Mexican, Sushi, Steak, brunch, Thai, etc.

Thanks for the pointers.

Nicco's, with excellent martinis the size of small rowboats...

Casadante: excellent Italian in somewhat old fashioned surroundings.

We went to Baja a few weeks ago and while it might not have been outstanding, it certainly was better than a lot of other Mexican places I've dined in and we would definitly go back if we were in the area. Too bad they closed the Cajun place Oddfellows that was next door. There is still one in Hoboken which also has it's own Baja.

There is a place on Fox place which is in the Westside section of the city . It's a regular house , you go with a group , you get the dinning room ,you go with 2 you might eat in a bedroom . It's one seating a night & you get what they are serving that night , the evening usually starts in the back yard with apps. it's BYOB it's Italian, the food is very good & the owner will usually break out some Sambucha after dinner . I think it's called Fox Place.
