Ok. Twokitties and I want to go out for dinner tonight after little kittie goes to bed (don't worry, grandma kittie will be here). We wanted to try Sona, but it's closed. We also would like somewhere with a liquor license, not far, casual, yummy. Thanks. |

My new favorite: Bantry Bay Mussels at The Gate. All requirements fulfilled: liquor license, not far, casual, yummy. |

Yes, I suppose that's always a possibility, if they're not passing out in their plates after a glass or two of wine, but there was no indication in the OP that grandma kitty was staying overnight. |

Helloooo. Grandma kittie stayed overnight. We went to the Gate, as per MATB suggestion which, despite the woefully slow service (no surprise) was fun. I had the soft shell crabs special which was not good, but the Gate didn't charge me for them, and I wound up eating a bowl of soup and fries. Twokitties had the chicken, which was good. Best thing of course was the vodka. Little kittie was a little difficult last night, so plans were skewed, but all in all a fun (if short) evening out. Thanks! PS. next time, we'll need suggestions for something on another night than Monday.

Yeah, that's why I didn't get them. (Even the halibut was cooked with meat!) |

Anotherkittie, yeah I guess I forgot about the sausage. I'm 90% veg, but this is a part of the 10% I make the exception for. Deeeee-lish. John, I'm going to say small black? But then I can't say as I've ever seen large green shelled mussels. |
