Looking for a good place for seafood (salmon in particular) for tonight within a 30 minute drive for 4 adults. Suggestions appreciated.

I've been talking about this place a lot lately - South City Grill in Jersey City. I was truly amazed with how good their food was, and it's mostly seafood. They have a great selection of oysters if you're into that and their mussels in red sauce were to die for!

(There is also a South City Grill in Paramus and on Rt 46 around Parsippany, which are all about the same time/distance as Jersey City)

Legal Seafood in the SH Mall, but call for a reservation, otherwise, you'll wait at least an hour.

Yes, MHD is right. However the one in JC is about twice the size and there might not be as bad of a wait there.

Village Trattoria has some of the best salmon meals going. Generally $15, comes with salad and side of pasta. If you don't like the exact preparation posted on the specials board (ie/ blackened), just tell them and ask for alternatives. While it's not the atmosphere of fine dining, I think the food makes up for it.

Here's the link to it with all the info you need, and that way you can check out the menu to see if it's what you're looking for:
