The SO residents seem content to limit the food conversations regarding these two restaurants to the SO Specific sections of the site. Anyway, if you want to know what the early word is about both restaurants you can check it out here. http://www.southorangevillage.com/cgi-bin/show.cgi?tpc=3133&post=690792#POST6907 92 |

I agree that the widest possible audience should be included for the sake of the businesses. |

Well for me, it was just a matter that I felt like I was missing out on really good info. I suspected that if I didn't know about the thread that others wouldn't either. |

Terrance Allen, great stuff! Problem: there is no signage to explain the ordering system and the components in the burrito section are not labeled. While the stuff in the salad bar section is obvious (to me), the meat selection in the burrito department changes. ALso, would be better if the utensils and stuff were set up at the front of the store, cafeterial style. |

Went to Terence Allen's today for lunch with Rosiegirl Very cute place, yummy food, lots of potential. I hope it succeeds! I had a burrito, but didn't have too much trouble with the lack of signage, because the counter person told me what everything was. |

Our first trip to Terrance Allen's. Liked the freshness of salad greens. Wasn't crazy about the smallish plastic container it was served in (we ate out back), and then for $9. plus 1.25 for 3 small shrimp on top- maybe include a roll? - a beverage was 3, - seemed pricey for lunch. Fruit for sale - $5. for a cantaloupe. Again, I'm factoring in the convenience, etc. - still. We'll try again for the burritos. |

Terence Allen - the best damn eatery this side of the railroad tracks! I loved the burrito and the service with a smile was priceless, but who is the guy in the chef coat walking around?

I stopped in with a girlfriend and my kids. She really enjoyed her salad and my 3yo son LOVED the friendly attention from all the guys working there. I loved the 2 for $1 peppers that I needed for dinner that night. The produce and dairy products alone make it a success for us. (that $5 cantalope seemed really pricey but everything else seemed reasonable.) Thay also promised to have black beans for rice and beans in the future for the 3yo. Whee! |
