Well, it's St. Paddy's Day and my husband is off to some crowded smoky bar in Morristown to celebrate; I'm invited, but at 7 1/2 months pregnant somehow that doesn't really appeal. What DOES appeal, however, is some nice corned beef & cabbage for dinner, probably in the comfort of my own home since I'm flying solo. Any ideas on where I should go?

Order to go from Cryan's? I'm sure they'll have it today, but it can be pretty hard to park around here on 3/17. To go from St. James, if they have it?

OK, unfortunately hubby took the car, so I'm limited to options in Maplewood Village. Afraid the Gate will be an absolute zoo, maybe the Mapleleaf diner?

FYI for next year, the Mapleleaf actually makes a pretty good corned beef, though the cabbage and potatoes served with the dinner were kind of bland. I think I'd just go for the sandwich next time . . .

One of my favorite sandwiches in town is the Corned Beef with cole slaw and russian dressing at the Bagel Chateau! mmm, might have to get one today.
