A client's firm just moved to Parsippany last month and I'm taking her to lunch next week. Neither of us know the area. Any ideas? No restrictions.

Goodfella's on the corner of Rt 202 (Littleton Rd) and Parsippany Rd. Excellent Italian, BYOB, and decent prices. There's also Bogey's, Rt. 10 West @ Jefferson Rd., in Whippany. Also excellent fare in an intimate, casual setting. Both are my favorites.

Ruth's Chris Steak House, Just off Rte 10. Killer food, great service, and it's a must-know if you intend to do business in that area.

http://www.ruthschris.com/ Enjoy.

BTW: Next time get your client to buy.

Ooops! The Parsippany location doesn't serve lunch. Sorry to get your juices flowing, but try 'em (or the Weehawken location!) for dinner sometime...

My sister works in Parsippany and she's a big fan of Panevino, which is actually located on Route 10 in Livingston, just a short drive away.

Chand Palace for Indian. Don't have the exact address but it's about a 5-10 minute drive. Really good.

Great pizza -- cash only -- kind of like the place in South Orange, but I don't think that they are related.

Eccola

Have also eaten at Eccola, and it was pretty good! Plus the name is a great conversation piece!

Billy and Madeline's Red Room Tavern, in Whippany on Parsippany Road. Great place for lunch, and also after-work drinks. Definitely a place where everyone knows your name.

We love Billy & Madelines, not so much for the food (which is fine, but kind of pricey for bar food) but for the atmosphere -- that place is such a trip! Don't they basically close for the summer, though, so Billy can fish full time?

Hunan Taste in Denville is great Chinese. I work in Parsippany also and we always take clients there.

Amandacat--actually, I think B&Ms stayed open last summer for the first time in a while. You're right, they used to be closed from Memorial Day to Labor Day. I used to live right down the street, and summers were torture with Billy and Madelines!

Eccola is great - doesn't look like much on the outside, but it's such a surprise when you go inside - lovely decor and yummy food. I've always gotten fish there, but they have a big selection. I also love Hunan Taste!
