We're new to the SO/M area and are looking for a good Thai Restaurant that's nearby. Any suggestions?

I like Khun Thai in Short Hills. A bit pricey but good. For a bit cheaper try Ginger Taste in Millburn...different kinds of Asian cuisine and all are good.

Morris Thai in Union does traditional Thai cuisine. Pretty good food.

I second Khun Thai in Short Hills. I thought the prices were fair

There's a new one in Summit that is quite nice. I can't recall the name, but it's in that white building called the "Enterprise Mall" on one of the streets off of Springfield Avenue (near Elephantales toy store). It's where "Mario's", then "A Taste of Italy" used to be. BYOB, very accommodating and we've liked everything we've had there.

Too bad about not remembering the name, I know.

Thai Chef is excellent in Montclair, and not too far away. I also like Khun Thai, delicious food!

We've only tried Morris Thai in Union so far, and we thought it was kinda blech. Thank goodness i still work in the city, and i can get my thai fix at lunch when i need to. I'm sure all of the other places mentioned have lots of potential, but they're not exactly around the corner. =-(

Thai Kitchen in Bridgewater IS excellent...as is Chao Phaya in Somerville (again....if you're in the area).

We like Morris Thai, but I wish their menu had more selection.

Has anyone tried New Main Taste in Chatham? Never seems like anyone is eating there.

New Main Taste was excellent the one time I was there...it just isn't in an area where we often eat.

Penang in East Hanover is Malaysian but has quite a few amazing Thai dishes as well. I love that place -- never had a bad meal there. 200 Route 10 East, across from the theater (great movie night -- dinner at Penang and then a late show). Casual/no reservations.( 973 ) 887 - 6989
