I just noticed that the Sage Diner is now the Parkwood. The Sage had gotten pretty bad as of late, has anyone tried the new place? Couldn't tell if it was open yet. |

Their new sign is kind of offbeat and cartoonish.....maybe it won't be just your typical diner. |

Or maybe it's just a bad sign -- in both senses of the term. |

The owners also own the Park West Diner. From what I hear, they are making the diner smoke free. I found the Park West Diner menu...looks good: www.parkwestdiner.com/specials.htm |

Poorly done signs like theirs (where the font is all elongated and smashed together) just drive me crazy. The "new" sage diner before it also had a crappy sign, with the insides of the As and Ds filled in. I don't know if it's the printing company that does a hack job, or the diner owner that doesn't know any better. It just screams to me every time i drive by. I'm still psyched to try the diner though. |

Smoke-free would be nice. At the Sage, you had to walk through the smoking section to get to the non-smoking section, so you had no choice but to get a lung-full, unless you held your breath as you passed through. |

I didn't like the sign either, saw it again today, but what the heck....if the food is good I'll go there. Anything is better than the Sage. But the Sage also changed owners about four yrears ago, maybe less. The original Sage, from several years back did have good food. It also had little juke boxes at each booth. |

The Sage diner had the jukeboxes as recently as until the ownership changed hands last year. |

I walked by there recently and walked up and into the foyer , which has been rebuilt, but the door into the diner was locked. I looked in and it looks the same. I can't say I'm happy about that because the place could be made to look nice (nothing fancy) but the main thing is the food. Let's hope its "good eats". |

The menu at the other diner owned by the same people certainly looks promising. |
