We're looking for a nice place for Mother's Day brunch somewhere on the Hudson in the Rockland/Westchester area. Any recommendations out there? Since we're meeting up with family from CT, we'd like a place where we can also walk around a bit - that's why we're thinking Piermont or Nyack. Thanks! |

If you want to go all out, go to Xaviars http://www.xaviars.com/xaviars/index.html

Filmboy, Have you been to Slattery's Landing? Looks good from the website, but I don't find a review of it anywhere. Xaviar's is a bit out of our price range, but I definitely want to go sometime without the kid. |

I've had a few business lunches there and it was good, never been there for dinner. In Tappan there is a good italian place called Il Postino (sp?) that I would recommend.

Phyllis, It is hard to stomach a $35 lunch! My in-laws used to be very fond of going to Xaviars when it was in Garrison, and they paid! The town of Piermont has a website which lists the local restaurants. http://www.visitpiermont.com/ http://www.visitpiermont.com/restaurants%20frames.htm

Relish is supposed to be awesome. It's in Sparkhill, right near Piermont. The Thai restaurant that's in an old diner in Nyack is also very nice. |
