Arirang is on 22 West, I think just a bit before Bowcraft. Never been to this one, but I have friends who have and enjoy it. My experience with the original Arirang is that the food is fresh, much higher quality than Mt. Fuji.

I think there used to be a place Shiki just east of Costco, but I'm pretty sure it's closed.

We have gone to Arirang several times & like it much more than others in our area - fresher food, fresher decor. Kids like the glass floor over water/fish on way up to dining area.
It's on 22W - not too far.
Enjoy!

Arirang is very good, but very noisy, with many birthday party flashing lights. Recently tried Ekko, on Northfield in West Orange and liked it a lot..also very good, a bit calmer than Arirang. (this is the space that used to be Bice, then Northfield Grill(?)).

Will not go to Mt. Fuji again, ever, after one horrible drive home, counting the seconds to the bathroom. I can't guarantee that they gave me food poisoning, but won't ever try again. Sorry.

Only tried the Short Hills Benihana once, 4 or 5 years ago...seemed badly in need of renovation then -- has anything changed?

susan1014,
ugh - my husband had the same result from Mt. Fuji (I didn't - a result, I think, from avoiding the salad bar/buffet food that looked like it was really old)!

thanks -- I didn't know Ekko was a japanese steakhouse. maybe we'll try that -- it's a lot closer.
