Does anyone know of a nice restaurant in the Summit/Chatham/Madison area that can accomodate ~15 of my professional colleagues for a team dinner that won't shuttle us to a back room? I've had team dinners at Scalini Fedeli which, while it has wonderful food, is impossible to have a conversation with the person next to you because of the room's acoustics. |

Verjus in Maplewood has wonderful food and service. Besides they have a room off the main dining room which will seat 15 (I think). |

Heart and Soul is about as low as you can get in the ambience department. I know it's heresy to say anything negative about the place, but I think it's far better for takeout than eat in. |

Huntley Tavern on the east side of Summit may be able to segregate you from their dinner crowd, particularly on weekdays. It's a great setting, and good food. |

Just a quick update. We dined at Serenade and had a wonderful experience. Sophistocated but relaxed environment, beautiful presentation of the meals, attentive service. Definitely will use them again for personal and professional events. |
