There used to be the most wonderful Hungarian Restaurant on Easton Ave in New Brunswick, but it went the way of all good Mom and Pop operations in north/central NJ. Anyone know of any good ones? |

Here's a nice site to visit. http://www.gotohungary.com/history/foodandwine.shtml As for remaining restaurants in New Jersey, I'm not sure what is left in New Brunswick. You'll have better luck in NYC.

I'm almost positive that Red Tulip closed a few years ago. Mocca was the last real Hungarian restaurant in nyc, and that closed last year too. =-( We were just at the Hungarian festival in New Brunswick yesterday - not a huge event, but great food. I think there's at least one Hungarian restaurant in New Brunswick that still exists, but i'm not sure. Until a few years ago, I could ask my grandmother to make whatever it was that i was craving, so i never had much reason to look into it. |

Every once in a while I really crave some nice, spicy goulash with hearty noodles. Know what I mean? |
