Thanks!

The Casino/Hotels there are worth seeing themselves, and that can take a couple days to go see them all.

Check out the light show in front of Bellagio, it plays I think every hour, but see it at night for the best effect.

Treasure Island has a pirate show with battling ships, and I think they do that a couple times per night.

Dinner at the stratosphere...its a rotating restaurant high above the city, you get great views. The restaurant itself is pricey. There is also a roller coaster on top of the stratosphere if you are into that sort of thing.

NY/NY also has a roller coaster.

Tons of great shows to see. My wife and I saw Celine (her choice not mine) Dion at Ceasars. Expensive show...but the crowd seemed to love it, as did my wife. I only teared up a few times...lol! (j/k of course)

If you like shopping there is a great indoor mall off of Ceaser's, adn another one right around Paris.

There is a lot to do there. Most of resorts are nice enough not to have to leave. Some have really extravagant pool areas. Not to mention gambling!

No matter how drunk you are, do not let the cab driver take you to the Chicken Ranch.

If you think Celine Dion is the antichrist, you may wanna check out the Blue Man Group. About as far away from Celine Dion as yer gonna get in Vegas.

If you have the time and a car you can always take the relatively short drive to the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead.

Where are you staying? If you are staying downtown there is the the light show that occurs nightly.

If you're staying on the strip you can spend the entire 48 hours just ducking in and out of the many new hotels. As mentioned you can check out the fountains at Bellagio, you can take the fake Gondola ride at the Venetian, you can watch the Volcano Erupt at the Mirage, the pirate show at Treasure Island, take Gambling classes at the Aladdin. You can hop on over to the pool at Mandalay Bay or down the lazy river at the same.

And the food. Buffets are no longer the attraction (although there are still some good ones). There are GREAT restaurants in almost every hotel - not cheap, but very good.

Check with the Concierge at whatever hotel you're staying at to see if tickets are available to the shows. Keep in mind that many of the shows are "dark" some nights of the week.

Of course if all that doesn't interest you you and your sister can go to the Aladdin, take a class on how to play craps then try to find a lively craps table and drink for free as you while away the hours. Trust me they will go fast.

If you want to gamble, but not spend a lot of money, go to the hotels that are off the strip. I haven't been there in over a decade, I think my favorite The Frontier is gone. They had $2 black jack tables.

Guess I only saw one--perhaps I needed to be drinking more so I could have seen three or four at once?

red - they still have them at hotels like The Plaza and Binions downtown. My wife learned to play Roulette at a 25 cent table at the Plaza. She played for hours and looked like she had a fortune in chips even though it was only about 40 bucks.

Hopefully your @ the Mandaly , go to pool recover ,get massage . Afternoon, slide over to the Hard Rock , just for the freak show . Get really dressed bribe your way into Foundation Rm. top of Mandaly . Have dinner @ Bellagio & catch the fountain show , now hook up with someone & repeat last nite. If you must see a show make it Danny Gans @ Mirage.

If The Amazing Jonathan is playing at the Golden Nugget, he's worth catching. Have a blast!
