Can anyone please suggest a suuitable restaurant for dinner on the lake with a toddler? Also - any other must do/see things when there? Has anyone been to the Adirondack Museum? Good shopping? Many Thanks.....

I lived in Lake Placid for some time. I had a great flat on the lake. You have reached an expert here.

Main St. Is very family friendly. With toddler let me suggest a few choices.

Lakefront dining view:
Black Bear Resteraunt.American fair/tremendous breakfast & brunch. It is located right across from Olympic arena.

Brown Dog Deli:reminded me of NYC. good food and helluva wine list.

Players Club(1 Main St. next to park) Sports atmosphere (ALL BARS/RESTERAUNTS NON_SMOKING) you are literally on lake level with the water 8 ft. away.

In town: Mr.Mike's Pizza- awesome tons of fams. located on Main next to a very cool Arcade/bowling alley/kid fun center.

Tale 'O the Pup- A true hidden adirondack treasure. Drive in style BBQ just outside of LPV on rt.86.

I could & can go on and on about whatever you want to know. If you have any ?'s respond here.

ps:If you have a minute stop in Wiseguy's nightclub and see Nick the owner. Tell him Seabass sent you and you will have the run of the place (NO KIDDING)
