Just received coupon flyer announcing "change of management" (and obvious name change). Anyone know what happened? Hope I didn't lose my VIP points.

OK, they're continuing the VIP points, and right now, they don't plan on changing the sushi chef.

We'll see... I may have to have sushi for dinner tonight!

This couldn't possibly be related to the Yama restaurants in NYC, could it? Their Irving Pl. one is quite good (not so much the Houston one, but it's still better than most of what we've got around these parts).

I went to Sakana tonight, and the same sushi chef was working the counter. The food was still wonderful. The menu was the same and I saw NO sign whatsoever of Yama. It did seem that there was a new owner though. My first impression is that Sakana (Yama?) is pretty much the same as it was before. I saw little or no difference.

Where is Sakana? I'm a big fan of the Yama on Irving Place.

It's NOT the same.

sakana is on So. Orange Ave across from the Rite Aid. I HIGHLY recommend that you check out the MOL RESTAURANT LIST which has phone and address info for almost all area restaurants.

Dave, when do I start getting my kickbacks?
