For once, I'll be brief. I didn't care for it. It wasn't bad per se, but for the same amount of money you can eat at Mojave Grill.

My quick thoughts. Relatively unimaginative dishes. The tortilla encrusted mahi-mahi was fishy (seemed slighly less than fresh) and was paired with an asian fried rice? Talk about inappropriate pairings. Service was acceptable, but sorta slow, and we had to have them correct the bill so it took us a long time to leave. The dessert menu was the same as ANY american restaurant -- and felt totally unispired (and therefore we didn't order any). When I asked on MOL for a Southwestern restaurant in our area, someone mentioned Lime as a possibility. I kept avoiding it because the menu didn't seem Southwestern to me (in fact it's downright pseudo-Mexican as far as I can tell) and pricey. But I finally caved in and tried it. Heck, I've enjoyed my food at Qdoba more than my meal here. That is a bit sad to admit since the food was 3 times the price.

Overall very unspired meal that felt overpriced to me. I don't think I'll go back. Did I mention that Mojave grill is the same price and is EXCEPTIONAL? Did I?

Write up in the Star-Ledger Ticket today too.

I used to love Celebrated's Southwestern/ Asian Fusion stuff, but for the most part (unless I know it's a fusion kind of place and I'm interested in something out of the ordinary), when I go for Southwestern I want a fresh burrito (a la Qdoba) or quesadilla. I do like experimenting with different ingredients in the above.
