Anyone have some buzz on the new deli opening up on Valley before you hit South Orange Ave? I'm hoping it's a REAL deli, with Kosher pickles, pastrami and potatoe kinishes.

If it is a New Delhi will it have Indian food?

And my Jewish friends inform me it is "knish". And Dan Quayle can advise you that potato lacks the e.

Are you talking about Town Hall Deli which is planning on opening on the old Midas site?

Do you have any updates as to the status of the THD? I understood that they were supposed to open quite a while ago. I know that there were concerns about environmental issues, but I has heard that those were cleared up a while ago.

I wouldn't go as nuts as to call it "the best bakery around" unless you're confining your search to the immediate square mile radius. Decent cakes, but not what I consider outstanding.

Best deli I've found in the area is Millburn Deli. Actually one of the best deli's I've ever been to, anywhere. Super yummy sandwiches, great service (you pick a number, they call your number, you get service -- what a concept). The gobbler is not to be missed.

It's on Millburn Ave., not as far as you think.

Tabachnicks has a really weird feel to it. It feels...a bit....dirty. But I keep going back. That guy, he wears no gloves and just slices that meat. That sweet sweet pastrami. The styrofoam box...

I do love the Millburn Deli. Which was a bit like Tabachnicks before the new owners came and cleaned up the place.

I dislike potato knishes EXCEPT from Tabachnick's. They are tasty! And yes, the place has a weird feel. The lox and other things are good there, too.

Oh, and the frozen soup is really something special. You can get the same stuff at the supermarket, but I think it's cheaper from this place.
