Hubby & I are going to the movies tomorrow in East Hanover -- we want to eat somewhere good & not too fancy. I think I'm hankering Italian but could be swayed.... any suggestions?

Hmmm, there's the Mexican place and Penang, both in the same shopping ctr. (west bound) in front of HD. Right before, in the Marshall's shopping ctr. is a pizza place, Franks I think. Really good, very casual. Also there is Saffron, Indian. On the Eastbound side is Panevino. Loud, crowded, more trendy Italian.
Then of course are the chains...no loss for food out there.

I really like Panevino although it is one of the noisiest restaurants I've ever been to.

Penang is great (or at least it was, several years ago).

There's a really good Italian restaurant in the same plaza as the theater called Sfizio I believe. It's small, but the food is great.

In the same plaza as the theater is a small Italian restaurant called Sfizio (I'm pretty sure). It has very good food and you can't get more convenient!

I third Panevino - one of my favorites. But yes, it is very loud. I know they sometimes have outdoor seating set up, it might be a nice night for it.
