Not only delicious, but it can feed a family of five. Highly recommended.

What parts of Jose are featured in the salad?

Also good are the Endless Indian Summer Salad and the Buffalo By The Sea Salad. Where do they get these names!? And Buffalo is far from the sea!

Speaking of salads at Parwood, I've been putting off posting about this, but here goes…

I was bit disappointed at Parkwood a few weeks ago. I ordered for my usual special, which always come with a Greek salad, as noted in it’s description. All specials come with soup, per the menu. I was told it was either soup or salad, by both the waiter and the manager. As much as I told them I had received both many times in the past, the manager insisted that the waiter must have made a mistake.

I was a bit miffed, but I like Parkwood, and I didn't want to make enough of a stink so that I could never feel comfortable going there again.

I guess my point is, just be clear on what you get with your meal at Parkwood, since it seems that the rules change as quickly as the wait staff does!!

Sorry for hijacking the thread – mini-rant over!

Speaking of Parkwood, if you were there for lunch yesterday & were distracted by the twin toddlers laughing hysterically and screaching, sorry 'bout that.

But aren't they the cutest things you've ever seen?

Diva, same thing happened to me. Initially the spanakopita with Greek salad was served with a cup of soup, but now they tell me it is not. Oh well.

The only not good salad I had there was the caesar. It was one of those days where I stare at the menu and can't decide what to get. I was in the mood for something not so healthy so I got fried fish and the caesar salad. The portion was huge but neither the salad nor the fish had any flavor. It was disappointing.

Now I know. I have enjoyed all the other salads.

I love the Jose Taco Salad -- only thing I don't like is the endive (so I pick it out) and I'm not thrilled with the shredded red cabbage they put on top of many things (for decoration) , so that gets put aside too. I especially love the days that the taco salad is a daily special,.. then you get soup and a drink too, all for $8.95 (or 7.95)

And of course I went back for lunch today. The beef stew was so delicious I completely forgot about my previous less-than-perfect experience.
