I think there's a VFW hall on Marie Pl. off Springfield. There's also the Elks on Prospect St in SO.

I've never been in it but the Shillelagh Club in West Orange isn't too far and always has a sign out front advertising their hall for hire. It's at 648 Prospect Ave and the # is 973-325-9338.

The "Little Club" (Maplewood Tennis Club) on Ridgewood Rd is a possibility.

How far do you want to travel? There is a Knights of Columbus in Westfield that is really nice.

For the Elks try calling on Friday night. The lodge is only open Monday nights for meetings and Friday nights...

If you're having a dry event, Morrow's Fellowship Hall is great - there's even a stage for the DJ

Some of us call it "The Little Club", but that's not the official name. I think it's the Maplewood Tennis Club, but I couldn't find it in the directory or switchboard.com. I've got a raging headache today.. take a perc for me!
