I've heard this pronounced "Pree-Fee" and also "Prix-Fix" and "Pree-Fix".

Which is correct?

Boy Smarty, you sure are busy on MOL today.

My understanding is that it is pronounced "pree fix."

I always thought it was pronounced "Pree-Fee".
Meriam Websters online has it as 'prE-'fEks'

Im not fluent in French (just proficient in French menus and wine labels) but I thought a rule of thumb in French was that if a word ended in the consonant, the consonant was silent..if it ended in an "e", the consonant was sounded out. So I always thought the pronunciation was "pree feeks"...then again, alot of places seem to now pronounce it "tasting menu".

It is Pree Fix (feeks will sound a little over the top unless you are going for the Inspector Clouseau accent).

6 good years in France and Belgium.

Prix is easy to pronounce: "pree." Fixe is "feeks."

So, pree feeks. Fixed price. Prix fixe. Entendu?

I'm surprised that they didn't tell that the prix fixe should be either Mr., Mrs., or Ms.

Although it's spelled "prix fixe", it's actually pronounced "throat warbler mangrove".
