We're looking for a restaurant suggestion in the Iselin area for a 2 p.m. lunch on Sunday - the location is to accommodate the three couples who we're meeting - same travel distance for all of us. Any thoughts? I had thought of the restaurants in the Menlo Park mall, but I think Sunday mall traffic might be tough going. |

Cheesecake Factory in Menlo Park Mall or Bertucci's on Route 1 (for something less expensive and more casual)? |

How about Jose Tejas? It's kind of Mexican/Cajun, and it's a good place to get a margarita. It gets pretty crowded at dinnertime and after work, but lunch on the weekend isn't nearly as bad. (http://www.epinions.com/content_59547618948) Iselin is pretty much the center of everything Indian. If you like that kind of food, check the recent posts for recommendations, such as Chowpatty and Dimple. If you want a bit nicer than that, there's Moghul and Ming (which is more asian fusion, and i've always wanted to try it). (http://www.moghul.com/edison/index.html and http://www.mingrestaurants.com/ming.htm). LouCa's is an italian place only a couple of minutes away from the Menlo Park Mall, and it's likely to be way less crowded than the Cheesecake Factory. It's supposed to be really good, but i've never been. (http://www.loucasrestaurant.com/) If you want diner-y, there's Zervos. They're supposed to be known for their soups, although i don't see what the fuss is all about. (http://www.edisonfamilyrestaurant.com/)
