Does anyone know what happened to Wish: An American Bistro? It was on 500 Pleasant Valley Way. I saw it on a list of closing on the njmonthly website. Thanks. |

A single bad write-up on MOL ended it, I hear. Picky, picky readers. |

Ha Ha if that were the case then every restaurant in town would be closed. It recieved a stellar review from Soda and also from the New York Times. So something must have occured. |

I enjoyed these quotes: "A single bad write-up on MOL ended it, I hear. Picky, picky readers." "Ha Ha if that were the case then every restaurant in town would be closed." Thanks for the humor. |

It closed, however it looks like the owners of Prima Vera (the restaurant previously at that location, which relocated to the Wiltshire Hotel), are going to open up another Italian restaurant in that space. |

Too bad it closed. The West Orange restaurant scene does not need another Italian restaurant. Wish put out different interesting food that was still accessible and reasonably priced. Wish never did a lot of advertising. They never had a grand opening. They always seemed to be in a "soft" opening mode. Would like to know the reason it went down. Perhaps West Orange cannot support such a restaurant concept. |
