Ordered my favorite Mexicana pizza tonight, and it was here in about a half hour. I ordered around 5:30-5:40 and it arrived by 6:15.

Who really gives a you-know-what, you ask?

I thought I'd post this because there was a thread here not long ago complaining about how lousy Arturo's delivery was. Either they got the message and they're shaping up, or it was a good night, or they really weren't so bad after all. I order from them fairly regularly and only had a bad time once or twice. My experience tonight has been more the norm for me.

jalepeno peppers, green peppers, tomatoes, black olives, cheddar cheese, red onion. Very, very yummy but must be on the traditional crust. Thin crust can't handle all those toppings. It just wilts.

I love Arturos' pizza. They have really interesting pizzas. The one with gorgonzola is awesome, on thin crust, though it must be eaten in moderation. Salads are good too. Never had their sandwiches.

Pizzaz -- Thanks for coming through with the on-time delivery of pizza for our party yesterday. The kids loved the pizza (and I did too... it wasn't the poofy crust I was expecting). Other students smelled the pizza, and wanted to know if they could have the leftovers ... what leftovers?!? the class ate everything!

The wife and I love Arturo's El Greco. It has feta, pine nuts and slices of plum tomatoes with a pesto sauce that really rocks.

I will add the disclaimer that if you have it for dinner you WILL wake up in the middle of the night PARCHED. I can only guess it has enough sodium in it to kill anyone with high blood pressure.

Still one mighty tasty pie. I have to say that even though Arturo's has the best pie around (sorry Bunny and Resevoir you come in a close second BUT... I favor regular pizza over bar pie) I do think there is something JUST A LITTLE OFF about the crust. It sorta gets a bit chewy as I'm eating it. Chewy NOT IN A GOOD WAY. The texture of the dough is odd.

Thank you, Suzanne, I'm happy the kids enjoyed their lunch.

Pizzaz, my kids & I ordered pizza and baked ziti from Bunny's last week. Outrageously delicious. We will be ordering again, frequently!

AlleyGater: I was never a thin crust gal (being from California) but I like Arturo's thin crust. Not wild about the "classic" one--is that the one you find chewey?

Thanks again, Ess.

Shanabana: California Pizza Kitchen is well known for their thin crust pizza, and neopolitan versions as well. I'm surprised to hear you say that as a former californian. FWIW: I lived in Southern Cal a bit myself.

Thin crust is great and more true to the style of pizza most popular in Italy. My Italian relatives make a delicious pizza with thinly sliced fried potatoes, garlic and rosemary. Now, that's food for thought!

Shabana: Yes, we get the "Classic" crust. We've tried the other varieties too, and find the classic is what works the best for us. Maybe we'll give the thin crust another try. My wife and I love our food GBD (Golden, Brown and Delicious) so we often ask for our pizza to be a bit "over-cooked" to make it crispier. Maybe going thin crust is the solution?
