Been able to catch an earlier train now and then that gets into SO around 5:20.. There is no dancing cop then, and the problem exiting the lot is as bad, if not worse, than it has ever been. I rarely can get out without a problem.. it is absolutely insane! Is anything being done on the longer term solutions/getting someone there for the full rush hour period? |

Jeff: I asked if we could add this to the public safety agenda tonight.

Directing the traffic out of the NJT lot causes the box to be blocked at Ridgewood and South Orange Ave. It is complete grid lock. If the lights are timed better along South Orange Ave and if the police enforce blocking the box the problem would be solved. Directing the traffic out of the NJT lot just pushes the problem up to another intersection. |

The county is supposed to be adjusting the traffic lights. I think we also need to have them change the light to one with a left turn signal onto S. Orange Ave from Ridgewood (either direction).

Another reason to hate that big white fence: last year, the snowplows were able to push much of the the excess snow into that area. This year, mounds of snow now take up many of the parking spaces. I hope the poor job that was done plowing the lot this week isn't what we'll see all winter. Who's responsible for plowing the NJT lot? Does the town do it? or does NJT send a plow out? And whoever it is, now that a lot of the snow is melting, can't someone clear out a few more parking spaces? (p.s.: the lights are still badly timed, and drivers still block the box.) |

Now I have seen it all.. coming out of the station, a police car (#704) is in the incoming lane, pointed out.. As the light changes, and people are blatantly blocking the box, what does the officer do? NOTHING!!!! For heaven's sake, man.. get out and write some *&&^!! tickets! (I must note that I didnt actually see the officer in the car, but I can't believe that an officer would just park the car there) Jeff |

A couple of days ago, I saw a police car parked on the road next to Blue Moon. He returned to the car carrying a cup of coffee from DD. What an example. |
