Holiday schedules fill up fast, but if you're free Friday Dec. 19th at 8PM, stop in to the 1978 Arts Center (1978 Springfield Ave.).
The Avenue Actors Ensemble (new group of locals) will be doing a staged reading of "Mama Drama", a slice-of-life comedy that deals with the friendship of five thirty-something women and their role as mothers handling life, love and the trials and tribulations of motherhood and
marriage.
Admission is free.

I think we'll have comfortable capacity of about 30; I'd be surprised if we got that many, so I'm not sure reserving is necessary-but if anyone wants a reservation, I'll take it at drewdix@verizon.net

An auspicious debut.
It went very well; many thanks to all who showed up on this busy weekend!
I think I speak for the group when I say it accomplished everything we wanted and more-- the feedback was very good.
All of us, and some audience members then repaired to Verjus (keeping it all on "the Avenue") for a while to toast the evening, and I hope, the future of the AAE.
We'll reconvene after the holidays to plan the next steps.
