When 90% of driver ignore them?

I stopped to let a couple of kids cross on my side, and I counted 11 cars that just blew by on the other side.

If the cones with the giant reflective signs don't work, how about the SOPD start giving out tickets already!

If you want people to shop in S. Orange, you have to make it more pedestrain friendly.

It's not SO specific. I think that I'm the only one that stops for people in the cross walks but I see in Maplewood, Millburn, SO, Rockaway....I think that people are too much in a hurry. But that's what our society is creating....whoops...wrong thred.

Duh, the SO cops are too busy ticketing drivers dropping off and picking up their spouses at the train station!

We can't even get the authorities to paint lines on the intersection of SO Ave and Ridgewood with a "Don't block the box" sign. (I hear they've been quite effective at the tunnels into the city.)

Everyone is ignoring those "No left turn into Parking space" signs also.

I'm tempted to throw myself on the hood of one of those Hummers for the lawsuit money.

Talk about yielding to pedestrians---try driving thru Grove Park next to the SOPD at 7:00 am. The three female senior citizens that walk shoulder to shoulder IN THE STREET. You hhave to drive into oncoming traffic to go around them. This morning I had to stop and let the cars come past me before I went into the other lane. God bless them for exercising but please use some common sense before its too late.

A couple of days ago I saw a SO policeman sitting in his car next to the crosswalk by the auto repair place on SO Ave.(across from the Italian place), I assume watching for drivers not allowing pedestrians to cross.
