We have two sump pumps in our basement that have been going almost non-stop. Thankfully, they work great. However, we are worried about a possible power failure. Can anyone recommend someone to add backup power (i.e., batteries) to the pumps. Thanks in advance. P.S. Can anyone recommend a licensed electrician to add some outdoor lighting around our house. Thanks again. |

Apparently Zoeller makes a backup sump pump that runs on your house's water pressure. Gateway plumbing quoted me about $500 to install it (its available online for about $125, so I am assuming that it is time-consuming to install). |

And, Home Depot is selling a battery backup sump pump that has an 8-12 hour battery life on it.
