Good Luck. If I were you I would visit your friends in NY, then you could be sure to find a place open and have a good meal, neither of which you are likely to find in NJ.

Atlantic city is a Jewish playground on Christmas. Is there a large jewish comuntity around? They would have places that are open. they don't even have to be Jewish places.

Pal's Cabin is open on Christmas Day; seatings at 1pm, 3pm and (I think) 5:30. You need to make reservations.

For some of us, Christmas MEANS Chinese food and a movie or two. Happy Chanukah to my landsmen and a Merry Christmas to the rest of ya (and for those which neither fit,( and all of S/MOL) a Happy Happy New Year.

Most Spanish restaurants in Newark are open. I would try Iberia or Fornos.

Hey Xmas is during Chanukah this year so the people of the old book will be celebrating just as hard as the people of the new book. In true SOM tradition lets all eat latkas and egg-nog on Dec 25th (maybe thats not the best combination but you know what I mean).
