I have hexagonal tiles in my shower floor. The grout was once white, is now gross and I'd like it to be black or dark gray/charcoal. Any advice? Many thanks and be well, all. David Buckley |

Without remiving it try using "Super clean" or "Super purple". It's available at the home cheapo and/or auto parts stores. If unsucessful, pick up a grout removal tool (Looks like a tooth brush) Michael K. Mc Kell

yes, there are grout "paints" available. not sure if Home Depot has them, but Lowes did about a year ago. pretty sure the grout haas to be *very* clean before applying -- these dyes were sold in the tile department good luck -- Pete |

I've just done my 1x1 inch tiles in my shower and my entire bathroom floor. Even after cleaning with a powerful cleaning agent, the grout was still disgustingly grey, so I applied grout whitener. Basically, it looks a lot like white-out, but the application lasts about 2 years under normal wear. Apply it, let it set overnight, clean up the over-application and voila. Takes 2 coats and can be sealed w/ grout sealer. Got it at the funky-shaped 60s era exterior-tiled store on Rt. 22. |
