does anyone know where i can get old wooden window frames (with glass included)for a cheap price? i'd like to create a christmas gift out of one, but don't need to spend $50 on a window from the 1940s. any advice on salvage shops and the like would be greatly appreciated. thanks. |

There's a guy in Meyersville who has LOTS of old stuff for sale, including windows (and just about anything else you can imagine). I don't remember the name of the "store" (more like lots of storage sheds filled with trash/treasure), but he's on the right on Meyersville Road. (If you get to the traffic circle, you've gone a few yards too far.) He's very nice and will negotiate prices, particularly if you're buying more than one item. Good luck. |

The place in Meyersville used to be called Archie's. Archie Stiles was an avid collector (pack rat?) and had something for everyone. He died about 3 years ago, but I think that someone took over the establishment. People used to come from all over to exchange ice skates at his place. He was easily mistaken as santa claus with his belly and white beard and even had a heard of deer on his property that he raised from babies. If it is still connected, you can try: 908-647-1149
