I am working to market and promote opera concerts that New Jersey State Repertory Opera company will be performing throughout Spring 2004 in the North Jersey Area.

We have little funds to draw from, so I am looking for some "free press & promotion". Therefore I would like to get some write ups in the local newspapers that would provide us with some exposure & word of mouth. CAN ANYONE MAKE SOME RECOMMENDATIONS AND/OR PROVIDE MEDIA CONTACTS?

We are also looking for places in the area that we can put up posters, where people frequent often and will take notice...since I am fairly new to this area, any suggestions will be quite helpful.

You're welcome to post the information here, though you may want to start a new topic with a more descriptive topic name.

There a number of community bulletin boards where you could post your information: in Rickelton Square, Memorial Park, the NJT Train Station and the Memorial Library to name just a few. Shop keepers have also been known to put posters advertizing local culteral events in their shop windows.

I'd email NJ Monthly magazine and ask how to get listed in their Out & About section.

research@njmonthly.com

And here is the "submit a listing" link for www.NJ.com
