is a thought my husband's been having due to a change in his work. (He is not totally reliant on the train anymore.)

If it's going to happen, we need to be able to afford a larger house (min. 4 br, 2.5 bath) and not be TOO far off the beaten path. (That being driving into NYC for work and SI for family.) School's need to be good.

I know this is a topic that's been discussed here a lot, but generally the train line is a requirement and for us it would not be.

Obviously a nice town, rather than "off Route 9" is preferable. Also pretty obvious, we'd like to save on taxes.

Any thoughts?
