Does anyone know a close by retirement home where I could volunteer ? I'd like to do a weekly visit with my two small children. Thanks!

Winchester Gardens is on Elmwood Avenue, near Boyden (and the Maplewood Pool).

My dad is in assisted living special care unit (he is memory impaired)at Brighton Gardens in West Orange. I take my 18 month old there and the residents LOVE it and so does she. The activities director is very interested in having more volunteers come in - her name is Donna O'Connell is you want to give her a ring. The location is just a short drive up Pleasant Valley Way past the 280 exit (7). Also, I especially like how bright and cheery the environment is, very good for kids and seniors alike!
