I was tired of the negative posts from many MOLers and decided we need to pipe up and promote what is good about our life in these two towns. So I aimed to be a positive poster. Ps. I do know how to spell, but I enjoy an air of mystery too. |

When grandkids came along, my dad chose the name B-pa, which is what he called his grandfather. When we got a computer, my son and I were living with him. We signed up for e-mail,and bpa and co. sounded like just the right name. My father has moved onto greener pastures now, but his legacy will live on for a long time. Art-you probably have used his work shop over at Winchester Gardens. He donated many of the power tools there - Band saw, table saw, drill press, work benches. They named the work shop after him when he passed. |

BP... I knew your Dad and loved working at the shop with his tools and the other fine gentleman who have done so much for our community. All the plaques for Dickens Village that hang at the shops in town were made at Winchester Gardens. You’re right, he was a great guy and his legacy will live on for a long time to come. Happy New Years and best wishes to you and your family... Art |

I was in a hurry to post about a parking issue and did not have time to think up something cute. So I just shortened my first name which is Nancy. Turned out to be a prophetic choice though since so many of my posts have been about phonics. |

Mine's obvious. Mac was a gift from Austin daughter. My e-mail honors the peaks of the Catskills over 3500' and all hiking. |

I selected the screen name "edmay" after a long, thoughful, scientific process that I will begin to describe: First I wanted a name that was not totally cryptic so that other posters had a chance of figuring out who I was. Second I wanted something short and easily typed on your typically qwertyuiop keyboard. Third I wanted a name without no repeating letters. Fourth I wanted a name that would not be confused with other screens names like dave, jamie, ajc, etc. Fifth I wanted a screen name that began with a vowel. Sixth I wanted a screen name that began with an underutilized letter of the alphabet. Seventh I wanted a name that was not a number. Eight I wanted a name that would look good on political advertising. Ninth I wanted a name that correlated with the name of my consuilting business. Tenth I wanted a name that sounded a tad like the town in which I live and the virtual community on which I post. Eleventh I wanted a name that had strength. Twelfth I wanted a name that contained "ed" since ed has so many connotations and references: education, Mr. Ed, edification, erectile dysfunction, editorial, etc. You get the idea. Thirtheenth I wanted a name that was not superstitious. Fourteenth I wanted a name that was somewwhat permissive: you may do thus, you may do that, but at the same time under control: you may not do this, you may not do that. Fifteenth I wanted a name which people could call me if they forgot my real name. This is only the tip of the iceberg of logic and pure thought that went into selecting my screen name. I was elucidate further but my wife is almost ready for the Pub. What would really be interesting is knowing how posters select their passwords!!!!!!!!!! Ed May |

Perhaps you should learn to operate the spell check function on MOL, and wait until you reach the pub before imbibing, or else learn how to friggin type! And by the way ~ we are late for the Gate! |

Forget the screen name, (although mine is obviously from one of the funniest books ever written about one of the funniest characters ever created) I wanna know what your Porn Name is. Using the name of your first pet + the name of the first street you lived on formula, my porn name is Skippy Topaz :-) I've also decided that my gangsta name will be Iggy Cool J |
