There are just too many meaningless threads on MOL so I'm going to make an effort to change all that start asking the questions that dig deep on the issues that people want to know about... So, what's your favorite snack??? I'm all about Chunky Chips Ahoy and a quart o' milk...Mmmm...Chips Ahoy.... |

CHEETOS! Absolutely Cheetos!!

I have no willpower with chocolate or cookies, so I don't buy them any more. Someone gave me a TWO POUND box of chocolate jelly rings, and I've been slogging through them at an alarming rate. In about three years, I've taught myself to enjoy and crave fruit, and I really do like it again. We keep a lot in the house now. Lately, Bartlett pears are my favorite. And I like dried figs from the health food store just about as much as I love brownies, seriously. The clementines are good this year, as usual, though I think the season will soon end. During blueberry season, I eat an obscene amount of blueberries. I like apples, but generally don't eat them out of season. When I need a quick fill-me-up, I still like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as much as I did when I was a kid. Tom Reingold There is nothing

Dark chocolate covered candied ginger. Or dark chocolate covered orange peel (Trader Joe's is good). But for a mix of virtuous & indulgent, a few slices of fresh chewy bread from Whole Foods, say 12 seed & grain, olive, cranberry & pecan... with butter. |

I could eat a whole box of Godiva chocolates in one sitting. I usually don't though. I love any kind of Dreamery ice cream. Coca cola, especially when I wake up in the middle of the night or early in the morning....its a Texas thing. Sour cream and onion potato chips are great and I also love eating potato chips alternating with bites of dark chocolate. That sweet and salty thing is really good. Gotta try it to appreciate it. When I was in high school in Teaxs we used to pour a bag of Tom's peanuts from the vending machine into our bottles of coke. Fine taste sensation! LOL |

BTW, there used to be a store in the Center called TJ Marche that sold dark chocolate covered potato chips (not to mention 1,000 other great things) around the holidays - yum! and yea - ditto on the Godiva too! |

SOL...I remember that store and used to buy those chips all the time! When they closed I tried to make my own but they were not the same. Do you remember "moonpies" and red peanut patties? Another taste treat! |

She's very cool, emmie and they look delicious. As do all those other ancient candies... SkyBars!! 4 taste treats in one!! Maybe we should form some sort of co-op for mass ordering - or do I need a support group because I'm even thinking about ordering this stuff? |

Mwoody- The Spouse made some very similar cookies from a recipe in December's Food & Wine. They had a subtle mint cream center. They were waaaaaay too yummy. The good thing is that the consistency is only good for two days after you make them (or the cookie gets soggy) so you have to eat them all at once!!!
