Who cares what celeb X thinks of the war or anything politically for that matter.
As much as we are bombarded with 'experts' from all the news outlets, do we really need to know what actors or singers think? These people have spent their entire lives on a movie set, party, or rehab center.
The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today..FDR..

Over the weekend, Saturday night to be more specific, American scientists managed to land a new rover on the surface of Mars. The signal is strong and soon this NASA ATV will start prowling around the surface of Mars looking for some evidence that life may exist or may have existed on that planet. So .. we wake up Sunday morning and what is the lead story on many newscasts? Britney Spears got married in Las Vegas. This celebrity culture that dominates our nations is getting more absurd and more dangerous all the time. More people in this country can identify a picture of Britney Spears than can identify Dick Cheney. How does a free Republic survive this nonsense?

I read with, vague interest, the Pete Rose story (he's going to get in the HOF, IMO) but the Britney crap is like syrup of ipecac to me. I can't believe the nation's collective IQ has degenerated to the point that this s**t is headline news. |
