Has anyone ever hired someone to move a treadmill? Mine is a fairly heavy-duty one & it needs to go from the second floor to the basement.

I want pros who are not going to damage my walls.

I figured I could call Sports Authority (where I purchased it originally) & see how they subcontract with, but I thought I'd toss it out here first.

Thanks!

My gut feeling is that a piano mover could do it well.

I need to have a number of large items moved as well. I've called around and nobody will return my call. I spoke to one company which charges a $125/hour with a 4 hour minimum! Help!

There is a fitness store on Springfield Ave in Millburn/Short HIlls (in the same center as Panera & Teaching company).

A little while back they had a service to disassemble and move and reassemble equipment I recall it being kind of pricey.

A number of years ago we used Kangaroo Men to move a piano down 1 (twisting) flight of stairs into the basement of our house. Don't have number, but I've seen their advertisements in local papers. They had no problems with this limited job.

The other solution is to buy a keg and put it in the basement and then invite all your friends over with instructions the only way to get to the keg is by moving the treadmill down to the basement. :-)
