I have become very dissatisfied with the level of service provided by our heating oil company. I want to find a better company and because I think we are on the verge of needing to buy a new boiler, I am hoping to find one soon. Can anyone recommend a local oil company?

Who's your company? I have been very happy with Petro. They have been very responsive about service -- whether it's Sunday morning at 6:00 am or late at night they have gotten someone over to me within 5 hours. Also, they've locked my price in at $1.19 for the past two years.

Woolley is who we have used for the past 4 years and have been very, very happy.

Woolley here too. Maybe we pay a little more for the oil, but any time we've had a problem they come over pretty quickly.

Another vote for Petro.

WE were customers of Sickley until they went out of business .Liked them very much . Somehow we became Petro's after this . We have an old oil burner Petro could never fix it so that it stayed fixed . They were here almost every week. Went to Wooley and after they took care of the furnace it has not broken down since . Some of the men who worked for Sickley now work for wooley .

We switched to Pierson's this season after several service problems with Petro. They gave us the first year service contract at no charge and locked us in to a very reasonable oil price.

They have responded quickly to the two service calls we have placed so far. They fixed a couple of repeat problems that the previous company had been unable to solve. Since the second visit, the boiler has been running great.

I've been with Petro for almost 3 years. I like their service. How were you able to lock in your oil prices? I would like to stay with them, but I am probably going to begin shopping around since other oil companies seem to provide lower prices.
Thanks

Each fall I have called and asked and they have locked me in at a lower price.

We use Pierson's & are very happy. Every summer, we get the information for either prepay or lock options. This way, I don't have to remember to call them.

Years ago I was using Essex and had an emergency and they lied about having sent someone over. Switched to Petro, it took THEM 27 hours to respond to a (different) emergency. Am now with Woolley, so far, so good.

I think you'll be happy with Woolley. We have used them since we moved here in '97. They did the central air installation here this past spring and did an excellent job with that too.
