Street Parking - what to do?

I know street parking is not allowed correct? If this is true, is there a way around this? Tell them you're having guests, and that two cars will be parked in front of your house. They may request plate numbers. They are usually very helpful in situations like this. Just be sure you have the plate numbers available when you call, so they will know which cars belong to your friends. Calling the day your friends arrive and giving the dates on which the cars will be there will work best.
