Can anyone please recommend a good local computer repairperson? Our old PC died before I could get all of our data off of it, and I'd like to have it resuscitated (yeah, I know I should have backed it up). Thanks! |

Hi, I have done a lot of computer installation and troubleshooting for people in M/SO, but hardware repair is something that I do not do. What you may want to do is this: 1) Buy yourself another computer. An entry-level Dell computer is about $500 now. 2) Take the old hard disk out of your computer and put it in the second hard-drive bay in your new computer. Then copy all of your data over. Of course, you will need to re-install any applications that you had on your old computer. You can also take your computer to somewhere like CompUSA, but it may cost you more for them to fix it than it costs to buy a new unit. Also, if your computer is not too old, see if it is still under warranty. Marc www.millburnweb.com |

GioTech on South Orange Ave. has been recommended here for computer repair. I know people who have used them but I haven't used them myself. |

We're local (South Orange) and our daughter does repairs etc. She's been in that business for about 6 years, recently started her own company. If you are interested, please private line me, and I'll give you more info. |
