Can anyone reccommend a pediatric allergist? My eleven year old son is desperate to have his eyes stop watering and nose stop running.
Thanks!

Dr. Alex Gnoy in Westfield is the best! He's great with adults and kids.

Definitely do a search on the topic. There have been several doctors mentioned over the months...

consult a nutritionist? Many times a nutritionist will catch something easy to fix, that an allergist will want to spend months and months, and lots of shots and pills, and exploratory tests on. I'm only suggesting a 2nd opinion, that's all, hope you're not offended

MAS has a point. Could be a nut, wheat or dairy allergy, among many others.

Dr. Joel Mendelson is an outstanding guy, and sees patients at St. Barnabas (322-7600), Newark Beth Israel, and Mountainside.

I second Dr. Mendelson. He does not go crazy testing for everything, he's laid back and great with my 5 year old daughter. She has a peanut allergy and I like his "let's not panic and isolate her from the entire world" approach. His new office is in (I think) Mountainside.

Dr. Donald Perlman has been my allergist for more than 20 years. He's great with kids, really knows what he's doing, and is a member of almost every medical plan around. He's on Old Short Hills Road opposite St. Barnabas.
