Did anybody actually see shooting taking place anywhere in S.O.? Any Natalie Portman spottings???

Miramax and Fox Searchlight teamed to buy ``Garden State,'' a romantic comedy that is one of 16 films in Sundance's dramatic competition.

I believe they were filming in the quarry at one point.

The original working title of Braff's movie was "Large's Ark"

I recently received this email from my sister Mary. Jesse Newman is my nephew and Kyle Newman is his cousin:

Hello Friends and Family-

I am proud to announce the animated short film that I (co-)wrote and (co-)directed, Artflick 001: Painter_brianALFRED, is a part of this years Sundance Film Festival. It is a quasi-documentary on the phenomenal New York artist Brian Alfred - and features many of his unique paintings brought to life.

For those of you attending Sundance this year, I’d love to see you at the exhibition of the piece which is playing ONE DAY ONLY!
