STATE REPERTORY OPERA (SRO) presents THREE TENORS in concert on Sunday February 8, 2004 at Livingston Presbyterian Church, located at 271 West Northfield Road in Livingston, NJ. The performance will begin at 4pm and will feature Thomas E. Bethman, III, Antonio Buonauro, and Thadd Shirey. BACKGROUND: SRO is a not for profit organization dedicated to producing operas rarely seen in the New York metropolitan area and refreshing interpretations of established classics. SRO, based in South Orange, NJ, was founded in 1975 and is currently helmed by Artistic Director and Music Director Dita Delman. Recent productions include The Ballad of Baby Doe, Goyescas, The Bartered Bride and Thais, which were the first in the New York area in decades. Recent classics produced include Faust and Carmen. Over the years The Star-Ledger has described SRO’s productions as the "Best Staged Opera" and “The "Most Innovative Opera Staging".
