DREAMING OF SUMMER? Spend a week this August enjoying the beauty of one of the last of the Adirondack Great Camps. We are looking for someone to take over our rental for one of the sought-after lake view cabins the week of August 28. We are not able to go this summer. Featured in many publications including the Travel section of the NY Times, White Pine Camp, (which functioned as the 1927 Summer White House) offers magnificent views, tranquility, as well as hiking, swimming, canoeing/kayaking, bowling (a manual wooden bowling alley built in 1910), blue-berry picking, and nearby access to the Adirondack Park Interpretive Center and Saranac Lake and Lake Placid bookstores, antiques, restaurants, movie theatres, and skating. You may view Cabin 2 (which sleeps 4) and the Camp at www.whitepinecamp.com. Contact ablank@comcast.net for more information. This is truly a peaceful, restorative family-friendly vaction.

The cost per week is $1600 for 4; $1550 for 3 etc. The cabin is well-appointed and includes a bedroom with big adirondack four poster bed and fireplace; livingroom with fireplace and dining area; kitchen (supermarkets can be found in Saranac Lake); alcove with bunk beds; covered porch with lake view. Cabin 2 and the rest of WPC can be viewed at www.whitepinecamp.com Alison |
