Does anyone know off-hand where there is a store (in Manhattan) that sells Catholic items? I'm looking for a gift for someone. I think there's one on Lexington Ave, but I can't seem to find it in the Yellow Pages. |

I think there's a rather comprehensive shop in the St. Francis of Assisi (sp?) church right by Penn Station, you might want to give them a try. |

There used to be a number of stores on Barclay Street downtown at one time..also Trinity Church had a bookstore on Trinity Place behind the church...although not Catholic specifically, it was certainly Christian. Is there a shop at St. Patricks too maybe?

There is a Catholic bookstore run by the Pauline Sisters on 51st Street just west of Third Avenue (next to Zam's sandwich shop). The store has some religious items in addition to a wide selection of books; the Sisters are very helpful if you're looking for something specific. There is also a Christian bookstore on Second Avenue in the 50's, but I don't remember the name. |

Yes Yes! That's the one I was thinking of. Ironically enough, I went to the St. Francis store today and overheard the cashier tell a customer to try that store. I think it's the Daughters of St. Paul. Thanks for everybody's help. |
