We are hosting an afternoon party and need a caterer to make and potentially serve the food in our home. Do you have any feedback (positive or negative) with those that you have used?

Used Lawrence Craig a few years ago to make and serve food at my New Year's Day parties. Good menu to choose from, great servers, nice display of the food on the table. They did everything from start to finish. The kitchen was spotless when they left. He is on Springfield Avenue in Maplewood.

I'll second that Laurence Craig does a great job and they have a solid reputation. I also work for a company who supplies some product to them and they seem to have steady business in this area.

I highly recommend New World Catering -- downtown on Highland Place right off Maplewood Ave.

Excellent food, excellent service. We used them for my son's bris last spring and have been buying takeout there for years.

We have used Stephen Bartlett with great success.

Another vote for New World. Terrific food, lovely people. Ask for Theresa.

Carole Leone, who caters out of LILAC in Millburn, has done several events for me and I was always very pleased. Great food, excellent service, reasonably priced. By the way, Carole is a 'local' and lives in SO.

New World is great. We also used Kings (Short Hills) and were satisfied

I just used New World for my husband's birthday party, and the food drew rave reviews from the guests. They were really nice and easy to deal with, too.
