In just over one year Tom Reingold has achieved unprecedented heights and is rapidly approaching the magical milestone of 2,000 posts. Even the master himself, Art (Ajc), has taken almost 2 1/2 years to reach nearly 2,400 posts.

Tom is averaging just over 5 posts per DAY!
How does he do it? What is his secret? Maybe we should have a roast to acknowledge this achievement.

Come on Straw, give a little credit where credit is due...

Hey, if you're willing to come out of the closet, I'm sure we would all like to give you a roast as well.

How? Um ... I read and type really fast?

Don't include my wife or my boss in the roast. Actually, my wife already knows I have a reputation here. She said I wanted to move to a small town for the celebrity status I could gain.

But nothing was funnier than when Marilyn May posted one late night on MOL to tell Ed to come to bed.

LOL. I think Strawberry would enjoy a good weenie roast at Les Saisons. And some Budweiser, naturally.

Hate to disappoint, but JGBerkeley and Bobk already claimed the posting prizes and we ran out. And they were also among the first to discover MOL sends invoices to those surpassing 2,000.

Anyone notice the time of day (night) of Tom's 1st post? just after midnight. I guess whenever you get a free minute. like me, like now.

Also -- note that the elapsed time between post #1 and post #8 (same thread) = just 9 hours, 6 mins.

So Tom, where are posts 2-7? Perhaps in the OB-GYN thread?

I just broke 100 and I started posting 'round the same time as Tom.

Tom,
nothing personal, but the most important issue on this thread was raised by Art.

YEAH DAVE, WHERE ARE THE BEER ICONS?

Just checked and Tom is at 1983 posts. If he really applies himself, we could see the 2,000 mark fall by tomorrow.

It's official, Tom has reached 2,000 posts!!!
Here is a copy of post 2,000:

"bobk, I really doubt that if this is a setback, it will set back progress we've made since the 60's. There is more grassroots support of gay rights than ever."

I wish! My mother in law is staying with us tonight. My wife is having one of her chemotherapy treatments tomorrow. She has breast cancer. Life is really busy, and I wish I could get out there and meet more MOLers, but it looks like I won't be doing that soon.

Bring the pub to our home? Ah well, thanks for your offer. I think more than anything else, I could use an extra two hours to each day and an eighth day to each week.

My wife is really doing pretty well. She'll be fine. It's just a tough period now.

Tom - drinks will be on me when you and the wife are ready to celebrate at the Gate. In the meantime - could you use some homemade soup or a casserole?
