True, and your link is proof of it. But it says more about America's taste than the programming available. On cable TV, there are dozens of channels, and often, there is something good to watch if you know how to find it. But I don't bother. I switch the TV on once every few months. I'm not against it, I'm just not interested. I do watch DVD's though. I'm a member of Netflix which I like a lot. They mail me the DVD's, and I mail them back. No late fees, either. I dont watch much TV either, but when I do watch I usually watch sports shows. ESPN has a few good shows such as PTI and Around the Horn. But my one true love is the Simpsons. Yes it does have allot of childish humor but it also contains many allusions to more sophisticated humor. |

none of us has to watch this show if we don't want to. i'm sure the motives of the producers were to make money; but maybe to save face they could have a dateline / 20/20 type segment after discussing how hard life can be being a 'little person.' sometimes even something negative can be turned into something positive. |
