In my exterior kitchen walls. It's a pain because it pours out of the wall when you try to work on the baseboard. Now I understand virmiculite may contain asbestos. Didn't know that when I was shop vacing it and sweeping it. How dangerous is it? |

I expect you will die in your 80's or 90's. All of us have had exposure to asbestos form time to time. The hugely overwhelming majority of those with asbestos-related illnesses were working with the stuff all of the time without any sort of dust control. Going forward, don't use a vacuum and watch the dust, but don't lose sleep. |

tJohn - you forgot to say to wet it before you clean it up... messy? yes. But it keeps the asbestos from being raised by a broom and floating round the room. |

Most vermiculite does not contain asbestos. Don't sweat it. You can have it tested if you want. There's a place in Union but I can't remember the name of it. It's right near where 22 and the GSP intersect. |
